DETROIT RUNS WIN STREAK TO THREE WITH ROAD VICTORY AT RADFORD

RADFORD, Va. – Detroit used a 13-goal first half to propel the Titans to a 21-3 non-conference women's lacrosse road triumph over Radford Friday afternoon at Cupp Stadium.
The Titans scored the first five goals of the contest before Adrian Rius deposited a Juliette Ruland assist into goal with 23:26 remaining before halftime. Detroit captured a 13-3 advantage at intermission and shut-out the Highlanders, 8-0, in the second stanza.
In addition to Rius, Gracie Peterson and Emma Rogers found the back of the net. Peterson assisted on Rogers' goal.
Kaitlyn Wandelt and Lexie Kinmond recorded five goals apiece to pace the Titans' offense. Detroit outshot the Highlanders, 54-7.
Hannah Rosen recorded a season-high 18 saves for Radford.
RU continues its three-game homestand Sunday against Kennesaw State. Opening draw is set for 3 p.m. from Cupp Stadium.
