LAST MEETING
It took holding off a late fourth-quarter charge, but Radford was able to squeak out a 62-59 victory over Campbell on Jan. 11 inside the Dedmon Center.

In the win, RU placed three scorers in double figures, led by Aisha Foy's game-high 23 points. Janayla White collected her second consecutive double-double with 14 points and a game-high 18 rebounds. Gaby Gilmore finished with 12 points and a career-high seven assists.

Once ahead by 17 (50-33), Radford was unable to stop Campbell from embarking on a 20-7 run that cut the Highlanders' advantage to four with 1:36 remaining.

After key free throws down the stretch by Radford, the Highlanders still had to dodge a Krystal Mangum game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer to prevail. Mangum scored 12 of her 14 points during the Camels' fourth-quarter rally.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
Behind its 42-40 victory over Presbyterian College, Radford (16-12, 12-7 Big South) has clinched a first-round bye in next week's 2016 Big South Women's Basketball Championship.

Despite a season full of injuries, Radford is one win away from equaling its win total from last season that ended with the program's third trip to the WNIT. RU is gunning for its fourth win in a row, which would mark the second time this season the Highlanders put together a winning streak of at least four games.

For the ninth time this season and second game in a row, Radford held its opponent below 30 percent shooting. As a result, the Highlanders continue to lead the conference in field-goal percentage defense. Opponents only connect on 33.9 percent of their shots when playing RU, which ranks sixth in the nation.

Janayla White delivered her 10th double-double of the season Tuesday night against Presbyterian. The sophomore contributed game highs in points (14) and rebounds (11). Her 10 double-doubles only trail Gardner-Webb's Olivia Parker (14) for the most by a Big South player.

White continues to lead the Big South in field-goal percentage at 57.1 percent. She is also the only player in the Big South to average a double-double (12 ppg, 10.1 rpg).

In addition to White, Lydia Rivers is a major factor in the Highlanders' rebounding. The post tandem ranks first and fifth, respectively, among Big South players in rebounding. Radford is the only team to have two of its players in the top five of the league.

White, who recorded the 100th block of her career earlier this season, is on her way to another career milestone. The Virginia Beach, Va., native is 16 rebounds from becoming the 19th member of the 500-rebound club. White would be one of just five players in program history to have 100 career blocks and 500 career rebounds.

SCOUTING CAMPBELL
Winners of their previous two outings, the Fighting Camels (12-16, 7-12 Big South) are finding their groove in time for the postseason.

They have played the role of spoiler as of late, upsetting Big South co-leader UNC Asheville, 64-56, on the Bulldogs' Senior Day before taking down High Point, 68-65, on the Panthers' Senior Night. Now the tables turn with Radford having the opportunity to derail the Camels' Senior Day, Saturday night.

In their last two wins combined, the Camels knocked down 14 3-pointers. They connected on 7 of 14 at UNC Asheville and 7 of 20 at High Point.

Campbell has been bolstered by the increased production from sophomore guard Summer Price, who did not play against the Highlanders in this season's first meeting.

The Beaverdam, Va., native has scored double figures in her last six games, twice topping 20 points. She averaged 18.3 points per game during that span. Price played a major role in the Camels pulling off the upset at UNC Asheville, pouring in a game-high 23 points.

Campbell's point guard, RaeChaun Edwards, broke out of her scoring slump by erupting for a game-high 22 points Tuesday night at High Point. She was an impressive 9 of 13 from the floor, including 4 for 8 from beyond the arc. Edwards had been limited to no more than seven points in her previous four games leading up to the High Point game.

In addition to her scoring, Edwards is the engineer behind the Camels' offense. She leads all Big South players in assists per game (5.3), while Campbell averages a league-best 13.3 assists per game. On the defensive end, Edwards ranks second in steals per game (2.6).

Amanda Coffer, who came off the bench against High Point, netted a team-best 18 points when Radford and Campbell first played this season. She is the Camels' most efficient shooter at 48.6 percent.

UP NEXT
Radford already knows it will play in Friday's quarterfinal round of the 2016 Big South Women's Basketball Championship. RU will find out who its opponent is following Saturday's action.
