SPARTANBURG, S.C. – For the second straight round, the Radford men's golf team reached red figures, which allowed the Highlanders to place sixth following Tuesday's final round of the Coca-Cola Invitational hosted by Wofford at The Country Club of Spartanburg.

Finishing in a season-best tie for eighth, Nick Brediger signed for a 4-under-par 212 (70-70-72). The junior, who rolled in five more birdies in his final round, recorded 16 for the tournament (tied for second-most).

On the strength of back-to-back under-par rounds, Conner Hayden ascended into a tie for 15^th at 2-under-par 214 (74-69-71). He closed with a pair of birdies over his final six holes, Tuesday. The senior finished second in the field in par-3 scoring (-1).

Conner Lewis posted the round of the day for the Highlanders, bringing in a 2-under-par 70, which featured three birdies on his outward nine. Lewis, who totaled a 215 for his three rounds, captured 20^th in the standings.

Gareth Sargent (220) and Myles Creighton (222) rounded out the RU lineup in a tie for 34^th and 43^rd, respectively.

Vincent Blanchette, who blistered the South Carolina layout for a 14-under-par 202 (68-65-69), fueled Gardner-Webb to the team title. The Runnin' Bulldogs' 847 (283-281-283) was five shots clear of Wofford.

Only four strokes away from a tie for fourth place, the Highlanders (861) tied for the most birdies in the field (63). RU was second at the tournament in par-3 scoring (+10).

Radford now turns its attention to the 2016 Big South Men's Golf Championship, April 17-19, at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C.
