WOMEN’S GOLF SET FOR COMPETITIONS WITH CAMPBELL AND THE CITADEL

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's golf team is set for back-to-back competitions against Campbell and The Citadel, respectively. The competition against the Fighting Camels is stroke play and will be held in Ninety-Six, S.C., on Friday, while The Citadel match play will be in Charleston, S.C., on Saturday.
The Highlanders will take six players and one individual in the stroke play, but will only count the top four scores. The Fighting Camels are ranked No. 41 in the GolfWeek polls.

The Highlanders will compete in their second match play in two seasons as the last time they competed in a match play tournament was last spring in the Oyster Shuck Match Play hosted by The Citadel.
Radford won the consolation bracket and looks to carry the momentum for the upcoming matches.
Through two tournaments this season, Sidney Walker and Khushboo Thiagaraj lead the squad with a six-over (78) stroke average. Thiagaraj finished tied for fifth in the previous tournament and Walker finished tied for 32nd in the opening tournament.
