RADFORD PLAYS FINAL REGULAR SEASON ROAD MATCH ON TUESDAY AT LIBERTY



RADFORD, Va. – The Radford volleyball team wraps up the regular season road schedule by traveling to Lynchburg, Va., on Tuesday night to face in-state rival Liberty at the Vines Center.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS (20-3, 10-2 BIG SOUTH)

•  The Highlanders (20-3, 10-2 Big South) are coming off back-to-back wins over the weekend. Previously winning 17 straight sets until Saturday's match against Gardner-Webb, Radford has won seven matches in a row.
•  Kaylor Nash, who averaged 6.71 digs per set over the weekend, reached 1,000 career digs on Saturday and earned Big South Defensive Player of the Week.
•  Haley Kleespies also surpassed 3,000 career digs in Saturday's match against Gardner-Webb.
•  Maddie Palmer recorded two double-doubles over the weekend and has 50 career double-double performances.
•  Valerie Gonzalez picked up a double-double on Friday against Presbyterian, but was one dig shy of collecting her fourth straight double-double.
•  As a team Radford has 1,143 kills, which is 240 more than their opponents have all season. The Highlanders are also averaging more than 13 kills per set.
•  Defensively during the stretch, Radford has picked up 36 blocks compared to all opponents 15 total blocks.
•  The Highlanders are 19-4 when it comes to third set victories and are have won 49 sets as opposed to opponents 20 set wins through the first three sets.
•  The Highlanders haven't lost a match since October 3, when facing Liberty at home. However Radford is 10-1 in road matches this season.
•  Radford ranks No. 72 in the most recent RPI polls.
 
SCOUTING LIBERTY (10-15, 7-5 BIG SOUTH)
•  Series: Liberty leads 45-32 (Last Meeting: October 3, 2017 | L, 3-2)
•  Liberty had its season-best four-match winning streak snapped in a 3-2 loss to Campbell on Saturday.
•  Prior to the loss, the Flames had a season-best four match win streak. During the winning streak, Liberty outhit opponents, .246-.110.
•  Gabrielle Vess posted back-to-back double-doubles last weekend, giving her a team-best eight double-doubles for the season.
•  The Flames are 4-7 at home this season, but all four wins have come against Big South competition.
