RADFORD CONCLUDES NON-CONFERENCE PLAY AT MOUNT ST. MARY’S



EMMITSBURG, Md. – The Radford women's lacrosse team will travel to Waldron Family Stadium in Emmitsburg, Md., and conclude non-conference play at Mount St. Mary's on Saturday. First draw is slated for noon.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

•  Radford (4-4) is coming off a 20-3 win against Howard on Saturday at Cupp Stadium where 11 different players scored.
•  Two-time Big South Freshman of the Week, Lindsey Carroll, broke a Radford record and tied a Big South record with 10 assists last time out against the Bison.
•  The Highlanders rank in the top 10 nationally in four categories; tenth in points per game with 21.13, eighth averaging seven assists per game, sixth averaging 23.63 ground balls per game and fourth averaging 16 draw controls per contest.
•  Adrian Rius has 5.5 draw controls per game, which is top in the Big South and 17th nationally.
•  Carroll moved up to 18th nationally averaging 2.13 assists per game and leads the Big South.
•  Radford leads the Big South with 14.12 goals per game, in large part by Emma Rogers who is averaging three goals per game. Her three goals have her tied for first place in the conference.
•  The Highlanders have corralled 23.62 ground balls per game, which leads the Big South. Emily Kowalik and Shea Swingle have a team-high 23 ground ball pick-ups.
•  Defensively, Swingle leads the team with 13 caused turnovers, followed closely by Rogers with 12.
 
SCOUTING MOUNT ST. MARY'S
•  Mount St. Mary's (0-5) has lost four of it's five games by five goals or less including most recently a 12-11 loss to St. Joseph's.
•  The Mountaineers have totaled 50 goals this season and are averaging 10 goals per game. They have taken just over 25 shots per game.
•  32 of their 50 shots have come at home, including a 71.8 shot on goal percentage.
•  Sammie Knapp has tallied 14 goals and four assists, which totals 18 points. All of those categories are a team-high.
•  Mount St. Mary's has 64 draw controls over five games, Jannel Daufenbach leads the team with 21 total draw controls.

The Highlanders return home to begin conference play on Saturday, April 1 and will host Longwood at 2 p.m.
