RADFORD FACES ST. BONAVENTURE IN MONDAY AFTERNOON MATCHUP



RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's lacrosse team has already doubled it's win total from last season in just four games this season and look to go for its first winning streak in program history as they take on St. Bonaventure at Cupp Stadium on Monday at 1 p.m.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

•  The Highlanders are fresh off a dominant 24-6 victory over Delaware State on Saturday, where numerous records fell.
•  Against the Hornets, Radford took 41 shots, totaled 36 points, corralled 23 draws and held its opponent to the fewest shots attempted (16) and fewest goals scored (6), all of which set single-game records in school history.
•  The Highlanders are averaging 13 goals per game, 7.25 assists per game, 22.50 ground balls per game, 20.25 points per game and 14.50 draw controls per game; all of which lead the Big South.
•  Colleen O'Connell picked up five goals and five assists, which totaled to 10 points. The assists and points is the most scored by a player in a game at Radford.
•  O'Connell now has 10 total assists and averaging 2.50 per game, both lead the Big South Conference.
•  Emma Rogers scored seven goals, which is a program-high. She leads the team with 12 goals this season and is second in the league averaging three goals per game.
•  Avery Reding is tied fifth in the league averaging two caused turnovers per game and tied for fourth with Emily Kowalik and Callie Bonnel averaging 3.25 ground ball pick ups per game.
•  Averaging the most draw controls as a freshman last season, Adrian Rius has picked up where she left off averaging 5.25 draw controls per game.
 
SCOUTING ST. BONAVENTURE
•  St. Bonaventure (1-2) last played on Feb. 25 and came out victorious over Army West Point, 12-11.
•  The Bonnies lost their first two games of the season after being outscored 37-8; 19-3 against Albany and 18-5 at Niagara.
•  Scarlet Jaworski and LeighAnn Stauffer lead the team with five goals each. Jaworksi has a team-high six points and is shooting 100 percent with shots on goal.
•  Defensively, the Bonnies has 39 total saves, have caused 30 turnovers and have picked up 56 ground balls.

UP NEXT
Radford will travel to the Peach State to wrap up spring break with a game at Mercer on Thursday and Kennesaw State on Saturday. Both games are set for a noon first draw.
