LACROSSE WELCOMES BIG SOUTH LEADER, HIGH POINT, TO CUPP STADIUM



RADFORD, Va. – The Radford women's lacrosse team welcomes current Big South leader, High Point, to Cupp Stadium on Wednesday for the final home midweek tilt of the regular season. Start time is set for 4 p.m.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
•  Radford (5-7, 1-2 Big South) went 1-1 last week with a big 19-12 win over Big South member Gardner-Webb, but suffered a 18-9 loss at Winthrop on Saturday.
•  The Highlanders still rank in the top three nationally in draw controls per game averaging 16.08 and are in the top 10 in two categories; shot percentage (seventh – 49 percent) and ground balls per game (ninth – 22.33).
•  Freshman Lindsey Carroll ranks ninth in the country with 30 assists and is sixth in the nation averaging 2.5 dishes per game.
•  Adrian Rius has been giving the Highlanders great scoring opportunities averaging 5.5 draw controls per game and has 66 draw controls for the season.
•  Emma Rogers leads the team with 38 goals and 51 points. She is coming off a career-high assist performance against Winthrop.
•  Radford is averaging 14.1 goals per game and is taking 28.9 shots per game.
•  Shea Swingle has picked up 39 ground balls this season and has produced 22 of the team's 98 caused turnovers, both are tops on the team.
•  Maddie Mashewske is averaging 12 saves per game in conference play and has 36 of her 64 saves against Big South competition.
 
SCOUTING HIGH POINT
•  High Point (9-3, 3-0 Big South) has won nine games in a row and hasn't lost a game since February 25.
•  The wins include Oregon, at Michigan, Winthrop, Longwood and others. Their three losses are to current national champion No. 1 North Carolina, No. 19 James Madison and Elon (all on the road).
•  In conference play, High Point has outscored its opponents 59-19.
•  The Panthers have three players with more than 40 points this season. Leading the charge is Brooke Stevens with 26 goals and 18 assists for 44 points. Darla Poulin has 43 points with 29 goals and 14 assists. Lastly, Samantha Brown has a team-high 31 goals and has tallied 10 assists for 41 points.

UP NEXT
The Highlanders will travel to Clinton, S.C., for a contest with Presbyterian, its second conference road game of this season. First draw is slated for noon.
