NINETY SIX, S.C. – Khushboo Thiagaraj shot a one-under (71), which set the Radford record for a single-round score in the Big South Championship, as the Radford golf team shot a season-best 312 as a team in the second round on Tuesday at The Patriot at Grand Harbor.

The Highlanders did not move any spots and remain in ninth, but every player with the exception of one improved from their day one score. Thiagaraj moved up eight spots and is now in the top 10 of the individual leaderboard. She is in a tie for seventh after her one-under (71) performance. She carded four birdies in the second round and has seven total in the tournament. Her score through 36 holes is also the best through two rounds of plays by any Highlander that competed in the Big South Championship.

Morgan Cox improved her score by a stroke and moved up one spot in the individual leaderboard and is in 35th. Two spots behind her is Olivia Jay in a tie for 36th and Meagan Board in a tie for 38th. Jay finished one stroke better than she did in round one and Board carded a nine-over (81), which is two strokes better than she finished in day one.

Gardner-Webb and Presbyterian moved up to the second and third spot of the tournament, respectively. Campbell remains in the top spot with a seven-under. The Runnin' Bulldogs moved up one spot and shot a three-under today, while the Blue Hose moved up two spots after carding a two-under in round two.
