WOLLMANN SCORES TWICE; RADFORD COLLECT 3-0 EXHIBITION WIN

RADFORD, Va. – Led by a two-goal effort from Jessica Wollmann and a strong defensive showing, Radford closed out exhibition play with a 3-0 win over Tusculum, Sunday night.
The Highlanders outshot the Pioneers 19-4 in the contest, scoring all three goals in the first half.
In the first 37 minutes, Radford managed three shots, before Wollmann found the back of the net off a Nelia Perez cross from the top of the eight-yard box at the 37:50 mark.
Two minutes later, Wollmann fired another shot on frame, but was not successful. Her fourth shot of the half came off a rebound from the Pioneer goalkeeper. Perez's shot was deflected, before Wollmann cleaned up the deflection from six yards out.
Radford's third goal in the six-minute span came off a Tusculum turnover in which Jasmine Casarez finished the breakaway at the 43:45 clip to seal the Radford 3-0 victory.
In the second half, Radford outshot Tusculum 11-1, eight coming on goal. The Highlanders nearly added their fourth goal in a span of 30 seconds early in the second half. Coming off an Allyson Giannone corner; Gabi Paupst, Cassidy Ratliff and Perez all had shots on frame.
Lexi Dean, Katie McCormick and Maddie Malueg teamed up to pitch the clean sheet for the Highlanders.
