SETTING THE STAGE
  • Radford had its 21-game home winning streak snapped Tuesday night in a 67-56 loss to UNC Asheville, ending the nation's third longest home winning streak.
  • The Highlanders entered the game needing only one win to set a new program record for consecutive home wins. Radford had matched the record set 1983 through 1984.
  • Radford's last loss inside the Dedmon Center came at the hands of the Bulldogs on Jan. 30, 2016.
  • Charleston Southern enters on a two-game skid in the Big South, both games coming on the road in a 10-point loss at Liberty and nine-point loss at Campbell.
  • The Buccaneers hold a 5-2 clip inside the Buc Dome and have only played one home game since Dec. 15, a 73-47 conference opening win over Longwood on Jan. 2.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Radford holds a 50-19 record in the all-time series as Charleston Southern has collected 13 of the 19 wins inside the Buc Dome.
  • Charleston Southern snapped a five-game skid to Radford with a 57-45 decision inside the Buc Dome on Jan. 21, 2017.
  • Before that road loss, Radford's last loss in the Buc Dome came on Jan. 14, 2012.
  • The Highlanders went 2-1 against the Bucs in 2017.

  • Radford has dropped back-to-back Big South games for the first time since Jan. 26-30, 2016.
  • The Highlanders will play their first back-to-back weekend/weekday road games of the season as they travel to Longwood on Jan. 16. Radford will have three such trips on the season.
  • After scoring 65-plus points in each game played Dec. 21-Jan. 2, Radford has been held below 60 points in the two losses.

  • Destinee Walker follows with 11.2 per game off the bench, while Khiana Johnson is averaging 11.0 a game starting the last 12 games.
  • On the boards, Lydia Rivers ranks 93rd nationally with 8.6 rebounds per game, while ranking second in the league with 3.1 offensive rebounds per game and 5.5 defense rebounds per game.
  • Tallying 27 blocks on the season, Rivers is 57th in the country with 1.9 blocks per game and the Highlanders rank 35th with 5.3 per game.
  • Rivers collected her fourth game with three-plus blocks on Tuesday night.
  • Janayla White closes in becoming the third player in program history with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. White needs 94 points and 173 rebounds to cross the plateau.
  • Holding a +2.6 turnover margin that ranks second in the conference, Radford is averaging 14.4 per game, while forcing 16.9 per game.
  • The Highlanders rank 30th in the country with only 201 turnovers commited.
  • Moving their feet on defense, the Highlanders have only committed 195 fouls, which ranks sixth in the nation, while committing only 13.9 per game for 14th best.
  • Defensively, Radford ranks 56th in the country by holding opposing teams to 58.5 points per game. Opponents are only shooting 29.4 percent from downtown against Radford.
 
SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
  • In the Buccaneers six wins on the season, they have scored 70-plus points in five of the season.
  • Charleston Southern has only scored above 60 points in one of its eight losses, coming in a 77-70 loss at Florida International.
  • The Bucs average 63.2 ppg, while holding opponents to 58.6 per game, proving to be a second half team with a 497-438 edge.
  • Ranking third in both categories among Big South teams, Charleston Southern owns the nation's 18th best three-point defense with a 26.6 percentage and 57th with a field-goal percentage defense.
  • Opposing teams have only made 63 of 235 attempts from behind the arc.
  • Charleston averages 6.1 3-pointers made per game as Njeri Nelms paces the team with a 42.9 shooting clip.
  • Nelms is the only Buc averaging double-digits with 10.8 per game. She holds a 44.5 field goal percentage.
  • Rachel Burns (9.1) and Shelby Wilbanks (9.0) follows Nelms as six different Buc players average seven points or more.
  • Weknyne Dumorne leads the team with 6.5 rpg and Burns follows with 6.4 per game. Burns has pulled down 44 offensive boards, while Dumorne has 31.
  • Dunmorne leads the Big South with 2.1 blocks per game, ranking inside the Top 50 nationally, totaling 29 blocks.
  • Of the 13 Buccaneer players that have played this season, nine are averaging double-digit minutes with six playing 20-plus minutes.
