RADFORD RETURNS HOME SATURDAY AGAINST PRESBYTERIAN



GAME INFORMATION  
SETTING THE STAGE
  • Radford returns home for the first game in 11 days after collecting back-to-back road wins at Charleston Southern and Longwood.
  • The Highlanders last played inside the Dedmon Center on Jan. 9, dropping a 67-56 decision to UNC Asheville, snapping the Highlanders home winning streak at 21 straight.
  • In the middle of a stretch that has four road games out of the last six games to close out January conference play, Radford will host Presbyterian on Saturday and High Point on Tuesday.
  • Presbyterian has won its last two Big South games, defeating Campbell and Gardner-Webb at home. The two-game winning streak, snapped the Blue Hose three-game skid to begin Big South play.
  • The Blue Hose are 1-8 in road contests with the lone win coming at future Big South member USC Upstate on Nov. 15.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Radford holds a 17-5 edge in the series with a 9-2 record inside the Dedmon Center.
  • The Highlanders have won five out of the last six games in the series, splitting the 2017 series.
  • The last seven matchups have been decided by 10 points or less.
  • Presbyterian snapped Radford's four-game winning streak in the series with a 58-54 victory in Clinton, S.C. on Jan. 31, 2017.
  • The Blue Hose last win inside the Dedmon Center came on Feb. 6, 2014 in a 53-46 decision.

  • Radford held Longwood to four first quarter points and 11 at halftime in a 52-33 victory on Tuesday over the in-state conference foe.
  • Eleven points is the least amount scored in the first half by a Highlander opponent this season and the Radford defense has only allowed four points in the last two first quarters played.
  • Opponents are 2 for 31 in the last two first quarters played.
  • Radford's defense has held the last two opponents under 60 points, improving to 19-4 in the last 48 games when doing so.
  • That same defense ranks 31st nationally with a 56.6 scoring defense, while holding opposing Big South teams to 55.4 points per game.
  • Opposing teams hold a 29.2 shooting clip from behind the arc, which ranks 82nd nationally.
  • In the win over the Lancers, Janayla White picked up her 28th career double-double, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
  • The 10 rebounds moved White into fourth in program history and 19th in Big South history with 849 career rebounds.
  • White's double-double came during fourth-minute stretch in the fourth quarter with six straight points and six rebounds.
  • The senior now has 922 career points and 849 rebounds as she continues her march to 1,000 in each category.
  • Redshirt sophomore Lydia Rivers finished with four blocks, matching her career best in blocks for the third time on the season and fifth in her career.
  • Assisting on 12 of its 20 made field goals, Radford has dished out double-figure assists in the last 10 games with five-games of 15-plus assists on the season.
  • In the last eight games, Radford has assisted on 154 of 245 made field goals.
  • Claudia Quevedo maintains her 3.1 assists per game and ranks 74th nationally with a 2.04 assist-to-turnover ratio.
  • Quevedo has dished out three-plus assists in 11 games, ranking seventh in the league with 45 assists.
  • Radford is one of two teams in the Big South with three players averaging double-figures
  • Jayda Worthy leads the squad with 11.4 ppg with a 12.8 clip in Big South games. Worthy's 50.0 field goal percentage is fourth best in the league.
  • Destinee Walker (11.2) and Khiana Johnson (10.5) round out the Highlanders top scorers.
  • On the boards, Lydia Rivers ranks 89th nationally with 8.8 rebounds per game, while ranking second in the league. Rivers leads the Big South with 10.4 rebounds in league games.
  • Tallying 34 blocks on the season, Rivers is 41st in the country with 2.1 blocks per game and the Highlanders rank 28th with 5.3 per game and 39th with 84 blocks.
 
SCOUTING PRESBYTERIAN
  • Despite possessing a -14.1 scoring margin, Prebsyterian sports one of the best scorers in the Big South as Cortney Storey ranks third in the league with 15.0 ppg.
  • Storey ranks sixth in the nation with 38.6 minutes played per game.
  • In addition to her scoring, Storey averages 5.4 assists per game, which leads the Big South and ranks 41st nationally. She has dished out 87 dimes on the season.
  • She holds a 45.1 field goal percentage, making 79 of 175 attempts.
  • Kacie Hall joins Storey in double-figures with 10.6 per game and Janie Miles is not far off with 9.3 per game.
  • Presbyterian lives and dies by the three-point shot as of its 837 shots taken on the season, 422 have come from behind the arc.
  • The Blue Hose hold a 32.7 percentage, making 138 of the 422 attempts.
  • Four players have taken 50-plus attempts from downtown with Hall leading the way with 97 attempts.
  • Miles has been the most accurate with a 42.3 percentage, making 33 of 78 attempts, which is the 42nd best percentage in the country.
  • Presbyterian average 8.6 made 3-pointers per game, which is 29th best in the country.
  • The Blue Hose also make teams pay from the free throw line, ranking 19th in the land with a 76.4 free throw percentage.
  • Presbyterian has been outrebounded 611-418 for a -12.1 rebounding margin.
