Radford is coming off one of the biggest wins in program history as they defeated Virginia, 57-44, a week ago in Charlottesville. The Highlanders have now knocked off an opponent from a Power 5 school in three straight seasons. (Wake Forest, 2016-2017), Penn State (2017-2018).
The Highlanders core four leading scorers combined for 48 points against the Cavaliers. SR Destinee Walker produced a game-high 18 points while redshirt junior Savannah Felgemacher picked up her third double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Classmate Lydia Rivers pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds and added nine points while junior Khiana Johnson went for 11 points, including a dagger 3-pointer to beat the halftime buzzer. The four have accounted for 75 percent of the team's scoring this season.
Walker has reached double-figures in scoring in six straight contests and is 11th in the Big South in the department at 13.0 ppg.
Rivers is 68th in the country in blocks per game (1.71) and is 77th in rebounds per game (9.0). She is tied for first-place in the conference in rebounding and is second in rejections.
Radford is continuing to build on their tradition of great defensive play as they are currently allowing just 56.6 points per game, which is tied for 56th in the NCAA.
