LAST TIME OUT
The visiting Highlanders overcame a 10-point second-half deficit and went on to defeat the VCU Rams, 54-49, on December 19 at E.J. Wade Arena.

Redshirt junior center Savannah Felgemacher scored a team-high 19 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Highlanders. Felgemacher, who also grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds, converted 4-of-5 field goal attempts, went 2-for-3 from long-range and hit 5-for-7 from the line in the last stanza.

Highlander redshirt junior Lydia Rivers recorded her second straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and senior forward Destinee Walker was also in double-digits with 11 points. Walker, who has reached double-digits in eight straight contests, also added six caroms, five assists and three steals.

Radford held the Rams to 31.9 percent shooting as the hosts hit 15-of-47 field goals and were just 1-for-7 from behind the arc.

The Highlanders made only 16-of-59 field goal attempts (27.1 percent) but came up with 16 offensive rebounds and scored 12 second-chance points.  They also forced 19 turnovers compared to just 12 miscues. In addition, Radford went to the line a season-high 31 times and had 19 makes.

CHASING 1,000
Walker can become the 24th Highlander in women's basketball history to score 1,000 career points as she is just 10 points shy of the accomplishment. Walker has reached double-figures in scoring in eight straight contests and is 7th in the Big South in the department at 13.9 ppg.

JR center Savannah Felgemacher is leading the league in rebounding 12.6 pg. (8th in NCAA) and is 5th in the Big South in scoring at 14.6 ppg. The James Madison transfer already has recorded four double-doubles this season.

Rivers is 72nd in the country in blocks per game (1.7) and is tied for 50th in rebounds per game (9.6). She is currently 2nd in the conference in rebounding and is second in rejections.

Radford is continuing to build on their tradition of great defensive play as they are currently allowing just 58.2 points per game, which is 66th in the NCAA. The Highlanders are limiting opponents to a .363 percent clip from the field (85th in NCAA) and .254 percent shooting from behind the arc (27th in NCAA).

NOTABLE WIN
Head Coach Mike McGuire picked up his 200th career win at VCU and is five wins shy of 100 at Radford.
