Khiana Johnson ended the run with a 3-pointer of her own, while Claudia Quevedo knocked down back-to-back baskets from deep to push Radford's lead back to 26-18 as the redshirt sophomore led all scorers with 12 points on 4 of 4 shoot from downtown in the first half.

QUOTABLE
  • "Today, I thought we had to fight and push through this game. I'm not sure it was an inspired game by both teams. I know Gardner-Webb was battling some injuries to key players. I thought the third quarter really gave us enough breathing room in this game to win today. I want to start seeing us play with a little more life, intensity and passion for the upcoming stretch. It was a tough week with three games in six days, finishing with a 2-1 record. With the good, I want us to start imposing our intensity a little more in games." ~ Radford head coach Mike McGuire
