- The Lancers dropped their first conference game of the season, 13-20, against the Winthrop Eagles
SERIES HISTORY
- Radford and Longwood will meet for the third time in program history
- The Lancers took the win in each of the first two games, including a narrow 19-16 result in 2017
- Adrian Rius has eight combined goals in two career games against the Lancers
HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS
- Record: 3-7, 0-1 Big South
- Radford is 2-2 on the road this season, already setting a program record for wins away from the New River Valley
- Sophomore goalkeeper Jenny Davis ranks eighth in the nation with 11.00 saves per game after stopping another 10 shots against No. 25 High Point
- Juniors Callie Bonnel and Adrian Rius accounted for all five goals scored by the Highlanders in that game
- Rius has 19 draw control wins in her last two games, including a program record 10 against Fresno State
- Junior attacker Emma Rogers ranks ninth in the Big South for assists per game with 1.10 (11 total)
- Radford boasts the conference leader for man-up goals per game (Adrian Rius at 0.40) and for man-down goals per game (Lindsey Carroll at 0.20)
SCOUTING THE LANCERS
- Record: 5-6, 0-1 Big South
- Longwood has gone up against several similar opponents to the Highlanders this season including George Washington (L, 8-16), Mount St. Mary's (W, 11-10) and Saint Francis (W, 12-10)
- Like Radford, the Lancers excel in nabbing ground balls. They rank 19th in the nation with 20.82 ground balls per game
- Longwood leads the Big South with 11.45 saves per game. Much of that is thanks to senior goalie Imani West, who has made all but three of the team's stops in the cage this season
- They also lead the league in shot percentage at .494 (126 goals on 255 shots)
- Senior Riley Dolan leads the nation in assists (36) and assists per game (3.27) after tallying 20 in her last three games
- She also has 23 goals, putting her at 59 points which ranks tied for sixth in the nation
