RADFORD PREPARED FOR WEATHER-ALTERED SERIES WITH CAMPBELL

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford softball team carries a four-game winning streak into Buies Creek, N.C., for a three-game series with Campbell. There have been some changes to the schedule due to inclement weather.

The doubleheader has moved up from Saturday at 1 & 3 p.m., to Friday at 4 & 6 p.m. Saturday will feature the series finale at 11 a.m., to try and avoid the weather forecast for late afternoon.

HIGHLANDER HIGHLIGHTS

Radford (18-12, 3-3 Big South) is riding high with a four-game winning streak, the highest winning streak since opening weekend where the team went 4-0 in the Eagle Round Robin.
The Highlanders swept Winthrop last weekend and defeated ACC opponent, Virginia, on Tuesday night.
With the win over Virginia, Radford has multiple wins against ACC teams in two consecutive seasons.
During the four game-winning streak the Highlanders have outscored teams 31-13 and have notched 34 hits.
Maggie Rowe has a team-high 22 RBIs and 10 of them came over the last four games.
Brianna Mills had a career night against the Cavaliers, where she tallied three of her seven extra-base hits. The freshman recorded two doubles, a home run and three RBIs.
Talia Douglas, reigning Big South Conference Freshman of the Week, scored a season-high three runs against Virginia.
Marissa Gagliano leads the team in batting average with a .385. She also has a 31-game reached base streak, dating back to last season. The reached base streak is tied for the longest in program history with Kristen Shifflett.
Abby Morrow (12-7) picked up the win on Tuesday night and has a 1.86 ERA. She currently ranks fourth in the nation in walks allowed per seven innings with 0.62.
As a pitching staff, the Highlanders rank 15^th nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio averaging 3.76 strikeouts for every walk allowed.
Morrow only needs six appearances to take over the top spot in program history for career pitching appearances.

SCOUTING CAMPBELL

Campbell hosted three mid-week contests in Buies Creek this week, defeating East Carolina, 8-3, on Tuesday and splitting a doubleheader versus NC Central on Wednesday.
The Fighting Camels have series wins over Gardner-Webb and Winthrop this season, as well as one win over Longwood last weekend. They currently sit in sixth place in the Big South standings.
The Campbell offense is led by Rachel McCollum, who is ranked first on the team in batting average (.393), hits (46), doubles (12), home runs (13), runs (27), RBI (40), slugging percentage (.829) and on-base percentage (.455).
McCollum is ranked inside the top 25 in the NCAA in four different offensive categories, including fourth in home runs, 11th in total bases, 17th in RBIs and 22nd in doubles.
The pitching staff is led by Megan Richards who holds a 12-7 record with a 3.15 ERA, nine complete games and 74 strikeouts in 104.1 innings pitched.
She has notched two no-hitters in the last four games, but has 75 walks on the season.
