RADFORD, Va.—Returning to the Dedmon Center for just the second time this season, Radford will host American on Sunday, Dec. 15th at 2:00 p.m. The 11-year hiatus comes to a close tomorrow for just the third matchup all-time, and the Highlanders will be looking to take the edge.

Most recently, Radford battled with Ohio State in the first-ever contest in program history. While the Buckeyes took the game 70-57, this Highlander team did not go quietly into the night. Tina Lindenfeld returned to the starting lineup and paced the offense with her career-high, lights out shooting. She has now scored in double digits in three consecutive games, posting a career high 15 points in this contest. She only misfired once from the floor going 5-for-6 but didn't miss a beat from deep to shoot 5-for-5. Lindenfeld set career highs in those categories in addition to her career high 37 minutes played. Joining Lindenfeld with 10-plus points were Khiana Johnson and Makaila Wilson. Johnson was a mainstay at the charity strip going 6-for-8 for a total of 16 points, with five assists, and four rebounds. Wilson tied her career high in field goals made at five and was just one-point shy from tying her career high in three-pointers made. She did play a season high in minutes at 26 and scored a season high 14 points.

The last time out back during the 2008-09 season, American evened the All-Time series with a final score of 68-45. Back on Dec. 28th 2008, the Eagles shot 51 percent from the field and used an early second half run to break open a close ball game to edge out the Highlanders. Then sophomore, Taleia Moton (Fort Washington, Md. native) netted a season high and tied for a game high 17 point.

A victory tomorrow would not only give Radford their first home win of the season but would put them back in the win column to break the three-game losing streak. A win would also put the Highlanders at 2-1 in the series. A loss would give the Eagles the series advantage and push Radford to a 2-6 overall record, a feat not seen since the 2014-15 season.

In NCAA DI women's basketball, Radford as a team ranks 152 in blocked shots per game, 62 in fewest fouls, and 73 in fewest turnovers. Khiana is 158 in assists per game. Sydney is 179 in blocked shots per game. Amele is ranked 27 in offensive rebounds per game and 152 in total rebounds per game.

Jen Falconer is 11 games away from tying Jayda Worthy (2014-18) for career games played at 123. Khiana Johnson is just 12 points away from joining the 1,000-point club, and currently averages about 11 points per game. Falconer & Johnson are also two and three in career three-point attempts at 348 and 320. Falconer is ninth in career assists at 270. Sydney Nunley has now solidified herself at No.7 in individual career blocks at 101.

American was picked to finish fifth in the Patriot League, while receiving a pair of first-place votes. Their nonconference slate includes Ohio, Villa- nova, George Mason, Towson, Saint Joseph's, Buffalo, Minnesota, and a pair of Big South teams - High Point and Radford. The Eagles are on a five-game losing streak, but have a pair of back-to-back victories over Villanova (76-54) and High Point (56-48). Sophomore Jade Edwards has posted 20-point plus games in four different games this year.
