THE SERIES
The Highlanders lead the all-time series by a 28-10 margin and have won nine straight contests against the Lancers. 

LAST TIME OUT
Radford remained in first place in the Big South Conference standings after picking up a thrilling, 84-79, victory in double-overtime against the High Point Panthers on Saturday afternoon. The win was the eighth straight for the Highlanders, who handed the hosts their first home defeat of the season. Radford improved to 16-6 overall and 10-1 in the league, which is their best conference start since the 1991-92 campaign. Three Highlanders produced double-doubles for the second straight contest. Redshirt junior forward Lydia Rivers led the way, matching a season-high with 17 points and equaling her career-best with 16 rebounds. It was her league-leading 10th double-double of the season. Senior guard/forward Destinee Walker (16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists) and redshirt junior center Sydney Nunley (15 points and 11 rebounds) also registered double-doubles. Junior guard Khiana Johnson (6 assists) added 16 points.

RADFORD AMONG THE NATION'S LEADERS
Radford is 27th in the county in scoring defense (55.5 ppg.), 7th in rebounds per game (44.6), 11th in field goal percentage defense (34.8 percent) and 10th in three-point field goal defense (26.2 percent)…Rivers continues to lead the Big South in rebounding (10.6 pg.) and is 29th in the country and is tied for 30th with 10 double-doubles.

HIGHLANDER MISCELLANEOUS
Radford enjoyed an 11-game winning streak last season en route to a 15-3 Big South record...Head Coach Mike McGuire is now an incredible 9-1 in overtime games at Radford...The Highlanders lead the league with 30 individual double-doubles this season…Rivers has recorded double-doubles in seven of her last eight contests and has amassed a conference-high 10 on the season…Classmate Sydney Nunley, who is second in the league in rebounding (9.2 pg.) is right behind her with eight…Senior guard/forward Destinee Walker is just one of two players in the conference to rank in the Top 15 in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals…Junior guard Khiana Johnson scored her 800th career point in the victory at High Point and is averaging 16.6 ppg. and 6.0 assists per game over her last five contests…Rivers was named the Big South Co-Player of the Week this past Monday after she produced two double-doubles and helped lead Radford to a pair of conference victories last week. 
 
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
Longwood is coming off an 80-58 triumph over USC Upstate on Tuesday evening...The Lancers are 0-10 on the road this season...Dayna Rouse is averaging a team-high 14.2 ppg. and Stephanie Guihon is adding 11.1 per contest...Mallory Odell is pulling down 7.3 rpg. to lead the squad...Longwood is last in the league in scoring defense (74.8 ppg.) and are being outscored by an average of 16.1 ppg.

LAST MEETING
Radford overwhelmed Longwood, 68-34, on January 19th at Willett Hall.The Highlanders held the Lancers to a 23.1 percent shooting clip as the hosts were just 12-for-52 from the floor.Junior guard Khiana Johnson paced Radford with15 points on 6-of-11 shooting and also added a game-high six assists. Redshirt junior forward Lydia Rivers produced her sixth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Redshirt junior guard Jen Falconer equaled her season-high with 12 points and went a perfect 4-of-4 from behind the arc. Senior guard/forward Destinee Walker (10 points, 8 rebounds) grabbed her 500th career carom to become just the 16th player in Highlander history to amass 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.  Sydney Nunley's streak of seven consecutive double-doubles came to an end but she did pull down a game-high 15 rebounds.
