AT STAKE
Radford can clinch a share of the 2018-2019 Big South regular-season championship and home court advantage throughout the upcoming conference tournament with a victory against the Spartans.

LAST TIME OUT
Radford set a new program record with their twelfth consecutive victory as the Highlanders recorded a 45-44 comeback win against the UNC Asheville Bulldogs on Tuesday evening at Kimmel Arena. The Highlanders, who are now 14-1 in the Big South, improved to 20-6 overall and have reached 20 wins for the third consecutive season. Redshirt-junior forward Savannah Felgemacher, who hit 7-of-11 field goal attempts, scored a game-high 14 points and added a team-high nine rebounds. Classmate Khiana Johnson scored 11 points, including nine in the second-half. Redshirt-junior forward Lydia Rivers finished with seven points and seven rebounds as she was limited to just 21 minutes due to foul trouble.
 
NATIONALLY RANKED
The Highlanders continue to be one of the nation's top defensive squads in the country as they are yielding just 56.0 points per game, which is good for 20th in the country. Radford is also 7th in the nation in 3-pt field goal defense (.259 percent) and 9th in overall field goal percentage defense (.348 percent).

HIGHLANDER MISCELLANEOUS
Rivers continues to lead the Big South in rebounding at 10.0 per game and is 35th in the NCAA in the category…Walker has reached double-figures in scoring in 23-of-26 contests...She is now 8th on Radford's all-time scoring list with 1,232 points…Nunley is averaging a league-high 11.3 rpg.in Big South contests...Johnson is averaging 5.1 assists per game in league games, which is good for 2nd in the league...Falconer leads in assists/turnover ratio (1.9) in conference games...The Highlanders are outscoring their Big South foes by an average of 16.3 ppg...Head coach Mike McGuire is 103-51 (.667) over the last five seasons after going 7-23 during his first season...A win against USC Upstate would be the 750th in program history.
 
ABOUT THE OPPONENT
The Spartans snapped a seven-game losing skid with a win versus Winthrop on Tuesday....Brianna Lewis leads the team in scoring (17.0 ppg.) and Riley Popplewell is grabbing a team-best 8.3 rebounds per game.

LAST MEETING
Radford held USC Upstate to just 12 second-half points and ran away from the Spartans, 82-41, on February 2 at the G.B. Hodge Center. Rivers tied her season-high in points (17) and rebounds (16), and also grabbed her 700th career board late in the first half. Johnson added 16 points and distributed a career-best 10 assists while Walker contributed 12 points, six rebounds and a career-high six steals. Freshman guard Makaila Wilson was also in double-digits with 10 points off the bench.
