HIGHLANDERS IN SECOND PLACE OVERALL AFTER OPENING ROUND AT PINEHURST

Pinehurst, NC - - - The Radford men's golf team is off to a good start as they try to defend their championship at the 2019 Pinehurst Intercollegiate. which got underway on Friday at the Pinehurst #8 course.

The Highlanders are in second place out of 14 teams as the team carded a combined score of 294 on the par 71, 6,937 yard course. Davidson is in the lead as they finished with a 285 on Friday. Eastern Kentucky, Old Dominion and Dayton round out the Top 5.

Hunter Duncan is tied for fourth overall as he shot a 72 (+1) to lead the Highlanders. Ben Ramsey (T-11, 73), Peter Gasperini (T-17, 74), Tyler Hull (T-28, 75) and Parker See T-46, 77) rounded out the scoring for Radford.

Play will continue on Friday morning.
