The 2019 Big South Men's Golf Championship is scheduled for Wednesday-Saturday, April 17-20 at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C., with Longwood University serving as the official host.  The schools will play 54 holes as part of stroke play, with the top four teams advancing to Match Play to determine the Big South's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.
 
The No. 3 seeded Highlanders finished 97-33 overall during the regular season and were 23-5-1 in conference play. The squad also enjoyed five tournament finishes inside the Top-5
 
Red-shirt junior Peter Gasperini has been the most consistent performer on the squad and ranks among the Top-10 in scoring on the Big South circuit with a 72.10 stroke average. The junior was named the league's Performer of the Week on April 5. 
 
Gasperini notched his best individual standing of the season with an eighth-place finish at the Wofford Invitational (par 72, 6,648 yards).  He carded a 3-under 213 (71-70-72) and was the top finisher among the 35 Big South golfers competing.  Gasperini also led the field with 40 pars and birdied nine different holes in leading the Highlanders to a third-place team finish in the 16-team event.
 
Red-shirt sophomore Parker See ranks 16^thin the conference with a 73.62 stroke average. See tied for 19th overall with a three-day score of 214 (72-69-73) at the Phoenix Invitational this past fall.
 
Sophomore Tyler Hull recorded the fifth-best round in the conference when he carded a 67 in round two of the Golden Horseshoe Invitational, en route to a Top-10 performance.
 
The Highlanders came home with 2019 Pinehurst Invitational runner-up trophy this past spring.  Sophomore Hunter Duncan tied for fourth overall as he shot a 73 on the final day. Duncan also tied for sixth in the field with 37 pars for the tournament.
 
Radford also won the Musgrove Mill Intercollegiate title in early October, defeating USC Upstate, 3&2, in the championship match at the Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, S.C.
