GASPERINI & HULL TIED FOR 14TH AFTER FIRST ROUND OF BIG SOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

The Radford men's golf team is tied for sixth-place after the first round of the 2019 Big South Men's Golf Championship, which is being held at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. Due to the threat of rain on Friday, the schools will attempt to play 36 holes as part of stroke play on Thursday. The top four teams will advance to Match Play to determine the Big South's automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals.
 
Radford finished a combined 22 strokes above par on Wednesday and recorded a team-score of 310.  Campbell is the leader in the clubhouse as they finished with a 10-under (278). Gardner-Webb (293), Longwood (296), USC Upstate (297) and Winthrop (306) are all ahead of the Highlanders. Radford is tied with High Point and lead Hampton (311), Presbyterian (312) and Charleston Southern (314).
 
Peter Gasperini and Tyler Hull are tied for 14th place as they both shot a 75 on Wednesday. Gasperini recorded four birdies and Hull came up with three.
 
Hunter Duncan is tied for 26th after carding a 77 while Parker See (83) and Ryan Neil (88) round out the scoring.
