MEN'S GOLF FINISHES SIXTH IN RIVER RUN COLLEGIATE

DAVIDSON, N.C.—The Radford men's golf team capped off the River Run Collegiate placing sixth on Tuesday, finishing with an 891 total score over three rounds.

Two Highlanders tied each other for the top spot on the team at 28th place, as redshirt sophomore Andrew Kennedy and junior Hunter Duncan led the team. Kennedy and Duncan both finished with a total score of 224 through the two-day tournament.

Redshirt senior Peter Gasperini and junior Tyler Hull were just behind the top-finishing Highlanders as they both tied with a final score of 225. Gasperini and Hull both started the tournament strong, scoring 71 and 70 respectively.

Parker See made his first appearance of the season with a total score of 237 in the tournament. After a tough second round, See rebounded with a 77 score in the third round dropping eight strokes off his score.

The Highlanders started the day fifth and fell one spot to sixth as Wright State edged them out by three more strokes. Overall for Radford, Kennedy and Hull led the team with 10 birdies each while Duncan also recorded nine of his own.

The Highlanders will travel to Clinton, S.C., to compete in the Musgrove Mill Intercollegiate hosted by Presbyterian on Monday, Oct. 7th – Tuesday, Oct. 8th.
