Big South release
CHARLOTTE, N.C.—After her back-to-back double-double performances,
Sydney Nunley has been named Big South Player of the Week, announced by the conference office.
Nunley led the charge against Longwood and Winthrop this week averaging 14 points per game and grabbing a total of 26 rebounds. At Longwood, she posted 10 points and 13 rebounds. Back at home versus Winthrop, she ended the contest with 18 point and 13 rebounds. She now has four double-double so far this season and 16 for her career total.
Through both games she even added four blocks, an assist, and a steal.
This is Radford's first conference recognition of the season but the fourth of Nunley's career. The Highlanders beat the Lancers and Eagles by one-point margins and head to South Carolina to face the Spartans of USC Upstate on Tuesday, Jan. 21st at 6:00 p.m.
