MEN’S BASKETBALL SET TO HOST HERCULES TIRES BIG SOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford men's basketball team claimed the No. 1 seed of the Hercules Tires Big South Championship and will be the host for the quarterfinals and semifinals, which begin on Thursday.

It's the first time the Highlanders will host the full Big South Championship since 2009. However, Radford has hosted the Big South Championship game the past two seasons. The Highlanders won a share of the regular season for the second time in as many seasons and sixth overall.

Radford's first game will be on Thursday at 6 p.m., against the winner of No. 8 Charleston Southern and No. 9 Presbyterian.

The tournament officially starts Tuesday evening as three games will take place at three campus sites. The No. 7, 8 and 9 seeds will host a first round game for a spot in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
