Travis Fields Jr. Signs Professional Contract with BC Vera

RADFORD, Va. – Former Radford men's basketball standout Travis Fields, Jr., inked a professional contract with BC Vera on Thursday morning.

Located in Georgia, BC Vera competes in the Georgian Basketball Super League, which is the top professional men's basketball league in the Republic of Georgia. The first season of the league was played in 1991 and in 2014 the league saw the introduction of a second-tier league called A-League (A-Liga). BC Vera finished last season third place in the standings with a 9-6 record.

Fields Jr., averaged 10 points per game at Radford, including 13.1 during his senior season. He shot a career-best 44.0 percent from the floor and 39.5 percent from beyond the arc with 153 total 3-pointers made.

Last year as a senior, the Portsmouth, Va., native was named First Team All-Big South and tallied 107 assists. He surpassed the 1,000-career point mark as a collegiate student-athlete in his last outing. The guard's 13.1 points per game ranked 16th in the Big South, and ranked seventh in the league with 2.1 3-pointers made, which also led all Highlanders.
