Highlanders’ Win Streak Snapped in Loss to Hampton

BOX SCORE Hampton, Va. – The Radford Volleyball team saw their win streak end at two games as they fell on the road to Hampton 3-0 in Big South Conference action Friday evening.

Radford got off to a slow start in the first set, as the Pirates scored the first eight points to take the opener 25-14.

The second set played out in similar fashion, as Hampton won 25-15. Junior Morgan Lawson did record two of her team-high six kills in the set.

In the third game, Hampton narrowly clinched the win despite a late Highlander comeback. The visitors trailed by as many as five, and scored two straight during match point to keep the game going before ultimately falling 27-25.

KEY STATS

The Highlanders saw a balanced effort, as eight different players recorded at least one kill.
Junior Logan Williams recorded 13 assists, marking her eighth straight game with double-digit figures in that category.
Trinity Burge and Grace Green both registered eight digs.

UP NEXT

The Highlanders continue their road swing as they travel to the Tar Heel State for a matchup with Campbell. First serve is slated for 1:00 p.m.
