SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders hold an 8-0 advantage in the all-time series against Emory & Henry with the two programs last meeting in 2013 where the Highlanders cruised to a 74-38 victory in the Dedmon Center. To find a match-up between these two programs before that, you'd have to go all the way back to 1980 where Radford visited Emory & Henry and won 69-66.

SCOUTING THE WASPS
Emory & Henry competed in 14 games last season, posting a 6-8 overall record while going 4-4 in conference play. The team averaged 65.6 points and 38.3 rebounds a game last year. Alexis Hoppers led the team in points (184) and rebounds (121) last season and is now entering her senior season. The program advanced past the ODAC First Round with a 68-50 victory over 10th-seeded Eastern Mennonite before falling to 2nd-seeded Lynchburg in the Quarterfinals.

NEW-LOOK HIGHLANDERS
Radford literally sports a new-look on its home jerseys this season and will also be seeing an almost entirely new starting five compared to last year. With 2020-21 starters Makaila Wilson, Tina Lindenfeld and Ariel Williams all graduated and moving on, the Highlanders will look to seniors Bryonna McClean and Bridget Birkhead to lead the team. Over the offseason the Highlanders added three transfers and six freshman who will look to contribute as well.

BIG NAME RETURNERS
The Highlanders won't look entirely different from last season, with several contributors from the 2020-21 season coming back for another run. Rachel LaLonde, Destinee Marshall, Danielle Montelbano, McLean, Ashley Tudor, Kyanna Morgan and Taiye Johnson all return, representing 61% of the team's points and 75% of the team's rebounds.
