SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Panthers have met just twice in the series history with both matchups coming in the last decade. Pittsburgh won the last contest in November 2014, head coach Mike McGuire's second season with the Highlanders. Jordynn Gaymon dropped a double-double for Radford with 10 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
The Panthers return four starters from their 2020-21 squad that posted 64.3 points per game against ACC opponents. Overall, the young team returns 91.4% of their scoring from last season. All-ACC performer Jayla Everett is the Panther to keep an eye on after leading Pittsburgh last season with 15.4ppg and 2.8apg.

The 2020-21 season did not provide many positive results for the Panthers in the win-loss column, but head coach Lance White has the program headed in the right direction as he enters his fourth season at the helm. Pittsburgh opened the season with two wins over George Mason and Hofstra last season and collected ACC wins against Clemson and Boston College.

PRESEASON VICTORY
In their final preseason tune-up, the Highlanders impressively defeated Emory & Henry 93-37 in front of the home crowd. Radford led from start to finish in the contest and controlled the game in just about every facet. The Wasps shot just 20% on the night and 11% from three-point range. Five different Highlanders reached double-digit point totals with one recording a double-double.

PAST POWER CONFERENCE SUCCESS
During the McGuire era at Radford, success against big-name opponents has been common. Since 2016 the Highlanders have nabbed victories against three power conference schools along with four perennially successful mid-majors. Radford last took down an ACC foe in 2018 and has come close to up-ending multiple schools over the years. This year's schedule will provide multiple opportunities for the program as they also have two currently ranked teams to face in No. 19 West Virginia (Nov. 21) and No. 24 Virginia Tech (Dec. 12).
