SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Eagles have only met three times with the last meeting coming in 2019 when Radford hosted American. In that 2019 meeting, Radford was leading at the half before a thrilling finish that went in the Eagles' favor. Current Highlander Bryonna McClean started for the team and logged 20 minutes scoring four points and pulling down five rebounds. The Eagles won the last two match ups which occurred in the Dedmon Center, but the Highlanders were victorious on the Eagles' court in 2007.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
American has yet to break 70 points this season but has won multiple low-scoring affairs to start their season with a strong 4-2 record. The Eagles have won three of their last four games with wins over Vermont, George Mason and UMBC. Jade Edwards leads the offense with 14.8 points per game while also leading the team in steals and ranking second on the team in assists. The Eagles have had some struggles shooting from three-point range this season, but are still out-shooting their opponents 43% to 41%.

IT'S A TEAM EFFORT
Radford has leaned on their entire lineup at different points this season. Every active player but three have recorded double-digit points in at least one game this season. Danielle Montelbano and Bryonna McClean both achieved double-digit point totals earlier this week in a winning effort against Furman. Ashley Tudor started the season off with three straight games scoring 10+ points and has since come close scoring 8+ points in three of her last four games.

TOP OF THE BIG SOUTH
The Highlanders, as a team, rank first in three categories in the Big South so far this season. They rank first in three-point percentage, three-point defense and free throw percentage. From beyond the arc, the Highlanders are led by Bridget Birkhead who has knocked down 10. Destinee Marshall, Kyanna Morgan and Carmen Williams have all also been reliable from three-point range as they are all shooting .400+ from deep.

At the charity stripe, every Highlander who has attempted a free throw is shooting 50% or better. The team is also shooting 24-30 (80%) in the final five minutes of the game. Radford's strong free throw shooting helped them earlier this week pull away from Furman and also helped them in a close game at UNC Wilmington.

LALONDE RECORDING IN ALL CATEGORIES
Rachel LaLonde has been clutch on both the offensive and defensive sides of the game, especially over the last two games. LaLonde this season is scoring 5.9 points per game and pulling down 4.7 rebounds per game while also totaling 12 assists, 5 steals, and 7 blocks. Against Furman earlier this week she recorded double-digit rebounds for the second-straight game and recorded three blocks in the second half to stifle Furman's attack.
