Radford Faces Off Against Campbell In Thursday, Friday Series

RADFORD, Va. – The Radford (8-10, 8-8 BSC) women's basketball team will host Campbell (11-5, 8-3 BSC) in a rearranged Thursday, Friday series. The games are both set for tipoff at 5 p.m. on ESPN+. 
 
The Highlanders are currently enjoying a three-game win streak after splitting the series with Hampton and thrilling victories versus Charleston Southern. Game one against the Bucs gave head coach Mike McGuire his 100th Big South Conference win on a buzzer beating three-pointer from Kyanna Morgan. Ashley Tudor paced the offensive effort in game two with her layup leading to overtime and the eventual win. 
 
Freshmen Foursome
The freshmen quartet of Danielle Montelbano, Ashley Tudor, Morgan, and Destinee Marshall have combined to score a total of 303 of the Highlanders' points so far this season. Coming off, Morgan's game winning three-pointer and Tudor's overtime forcing layup versus Charleston Southern. 
 
Linden(Feld) A Hand
Senior Tina Lindenfeld has scored the first points for the Highlanders on several occasions. She leads the team in total points, 3-point field goals made, 3-point field goals made per game, and minutes played. 
 
Nationally Ranked
Lindenfeld ranks 117th in three-point field goals attempted and sixth in conference, 88th in three-point field goals made and sixth in conference, 97th in three-point field goals per game and fourth in conference, and 84th in three-point field-goal percentage and second in conference.
 
Last Time Out 
Back on February 15, 2021, the Highlander got redemption against the Camels in a defensive battle, winning 48-42. Radford's defense was key in the win, holding Campbell to 28.8 percent on the day.
 
The Highlanders snapped the 10-game winning streak for the Camels as well as their perfect home record. Radford's victory improved the all-time series wins to 30 over Campbell. 
 
Bryonna McClean and Makaila Wilson provided a well-balanced game off the bench for Radford. The sophomores each had eight points. McClean played 28 minutes and grabbed six rebounds, in addition to a block. Wilson got it done from every spot on the floor offensively to go along with her rebound, steal, and assist through 18 minutes. 
 
This defensive battle saw four ties and three lead changes. The Highlanders held the Camels to 42 points, which is the least amount of point scored by Campbell in Big South Conference play.
 
Scouting the Opponent
Campbell is currently riding a five-game win streak after downing opponents like Presbyterian, CSU, and Gardner-Webb. 
 
The Camels have sweeps against the Blue Hose of Presbyterian, the Eagles of Winthrop, and the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern. 
 
Up Next 
Radford will travel to North Carolina to face Gardner-Webb in the final Big South Conference series of the regular season. The games will be held on Tuesday, March 2nd and Wednesday, March 3rd.
