Radford Turns in Strong Performance at Seahawk Intercollegiate

WALLACE, N.C. – Radford completed competition at the Seahawk Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon, with the team finishing tied for fourth with Lipscomb out of the ten teams competing.

Day One
On the first day of competition the Highlanders competed in the first two rounds of the tournament and shot one-over (289) as a team in the first round, with Bryce Corbett kicking off his strong tournament with the low round of the day at three-under. As a team Radford collected 16 birdies with Corbett leading the team five and Patrick Gareiss also recording three to finish two-under.

Radford would finish the first round in fourth place before moving onto the second round. The team shot five-over (292) as a team with Andrew Kennedy posting the team-best low-round at one-under. Kennedy's four birdies led the team which as a whole recorded 14 birdies in the second round. To close out the first day and the second, Radford was sitting in sixth place looking to rebound in the final round on day two.

Day Two
On the second day of competition, Radford moved onto the third round and shot a strong two-over (290) to move themselves back into a tie for fourth place with Lipscomb. Corbett and Tyler Hull tied for the lowest round on the day for Radford with both coming in at one-under. Taliaferro and Gareiss weren't far behind either with both finishing at two-over in the third round. The team collected 17 birdies on the day which was the most by the team in any of the three rounds in the tournament.
