ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Radford (6-6, 2-1 BSC) came up short against fellow Big South foe UNC Asheville (7-4, 4-0 BSC) Sunday afternoon, after both teams came into the match-up unscathed in conference play.

In doubles play, Radford got its lone victory on court two thanks to the play of Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva. The duo won their court 6-4, while Asheville took the other two courts for a 1-0 lead.

UNC Asheville quickly took three courts to clinch the match unfortunately, but the Highlanders did pick up two singles wins on the lower courts. Konstantinos Raptis won his match-up on court four with a 6-1, 4-6, 10-2 final score. Aditya Balsekar also won his match on court six 6-1, 3-6, 10-8.

Balsekar and Raptis continue to show success in singles play, with the two combining for 19 of the team's 40 total singles victories. Balsekar leads the team overall with 10, now boasting a 9-2 record on court six capping off a perfect 3-0 week in singles.
