Highlanders Conclude Play at Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Radford completed competition at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon, with the team finishing tied for 11th with St. Bonaventure out of the 16 teams competing.
Day One
On the first day of competition the Highlanders competed in the first two rounds of the tournament and shot 23-over (303) as a team in the first round, with the freshman Bryce Corbett leading the team with the best round shooting 2-over. Corbett had three birdies through the first nine holes. Hunter Duncan was next best starting off his strong tournament by shooting five-over with two birdies in the fifth and sixth holes.
Going into the second round, Radford shot a much better 12-over (292) as a team which bumped them into ninth place. Tyler Hull had the best round of the day shooting even with three birdies which was tied for a team high. Duncan was the other Highlanders to record three birdies with his second round of 1-over which was second-best on the team. Ryan Neil also turned in a quality round shooting 3-over with back-to-back birdies on the sixth and seventh holes. This concluded play in day one of the tournament.
Day Two
On the second day of competition, Radford moved onto the third round and shot 22-over to finish the tournament. Duncan posted the best round once again at 3-over with two birdies. Corbett, Neil, and Hull all also recorded two birdies in the third round. Hull had the second-best round shooting 5-over. This concluded the tournament for the Highlanders in which they finished 11th out of 16 teams competing.
