Highlanders Drop Tough Match in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, VA. – The Highlanders dropped a tough match to Liberty Saturday afternoon with a final score of 7-0.

In doubles play the Highlanders battled strong on courts one and two. Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva were battling in a 6-6 score on court two before play stopped as Liberty had won courts one and three. Tarmonlis and Silva were leading 2-1 in the tiebreaker before play stopped.

In singles play the Flames took all six courts but court three was highly contested by the newcomer Guilherme Severin. Severin dropped the first set 3-6, but rebounded in set two winning 6-3. The third set went to the Flames however 4-6. Aditya Balsekar also fought hard on court six, but the Flames ultimately won that court as well.

Next Up
Radford will have four road matches next week with the first three of those matches coming within the state of Tennessee.
