Johnson Named to VaSID Second Team All-State

Radford, Va. – Radford Volleyball's Kennedi Johnson was named to the 2021 VaSID University Division All-State Team on Thursday afternoon. The recognition follows a remarkable senior campaign in which Johnson led the team with 210 kills and 95 total blocks, while being the only Highlander to start and play in every match.

A four-year veteran, Johnson posted seven games with double-digit kills and led the team with 284 total points. The middle blocker from Clearwater, Fla. also ranked fifth in the Big South in hitting percentage (.293) and eighth in blocks per set.

Johnson is the first Highlander to earn All-State honors since Mallory McKnight and Haley Kleespies did so in 2018.
