SERIES HISTORY
As founding members of the Big South, the Highlanders and Camels have a historic rivalry dating back to 1987. Radford and Campbell have met 45 times over the years with Radford owning a 31-14 series edge. The last two times these teams met spawned a pair of exciting games inside the Dedmon Center. The Highlanders won in double overtime over the eventual Big South tournament runner ups 74-71. Bryonna McClean recorded the third double-double of her career with 11 points and 10 rebounds while logging 40 minutes for the Highlanders.

SCOUTING THE CAMELS
The Camels have burst out the gates to the tune of a 5-0 record to start conference play this season, and for good reason. The Camels lead the Big South in just about every defensive category, while Taya Bolden and Faith Price both pace the team with over 10 points per game. Radford will have the bench advantage on Saturday, however, as they have in years past. Outside of the Camel's primary starting five, no player is averaging more than five points per game, compared to the Highlanders balanced attack with at least two bench players averaging over five points per game this season.

FOUR STRAIGHT THREES
In the second quarter of last Saturday's game against Presbyterian, Bridget Birkhead nailed four-straight three-pointers to help the Highlanders overcome a 15-point deficit set in the first quarter. The Highlanders outpaced the Blue Hose 23-12 in the second quarter to close the gap to just a five point deficit. Birkhead's outburst helped her become the first Highlander this season to hit five threes in one game and the first to do it since Tina Lindenfeld did it against High Point in 2021.

HIGHLANDERS ON THE ROAD
Only one team in the Big South has played less games on the home court this season than Radford's five. The Highlanders own a 3-2 record on the home court but are just 1-7 when away from the Dedmon Center. Over the last two calendar months the team has played just two games at home, but that will start to change as the month changes to February. The program currently has a stretch upcoming of six home games over nine total contests.

WATCH OUT FOR MONTELBANO AND BIRKHEAD
Sophomore Danielle Montelbano has found her groove over the last three games averaging just under 10 points per game while totaling 15 assists. Bridget Birkhead also looked like she returned to full form against Presbyterian last weekend scoring 15 points, her fifth time this season scoring double-digits. Birkhead's 5-for-9 shooting against Presbyterian boosted her season total shooting percentage from beyond the arc to over 40%.

ICYMI: BIG SOUTH SCHEDULE CHANGES
Radford has had four games against Winthrop, High Point, North Carolina A&T and Hampton all postponed and rescheduled. Radford's recently postponed game against North Carolina A&T is now on January 27th at 6 p.m. Radford's road match at High Point has also been moved to February 7th at 6 p.m. while the team will host Winthrop on February 17th at 6 p.m. The previously scheduled game at home against Hampton is still postponed without a make-up date determined.
