SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Runnin' Bulldogs have met 29 times over the last 17 years with the Highlanders owning a 19-10 series edge. Radford has won the last five contests in a row and nine of the last ten games overall. This will be the first meeting between the two squads since the 2019-20 season as the two teams missed each other due to postponements and eventual cancellations in the 2020-21 season.

SCOUTING THE RUNNIN' BULLDOGS
Gardner-Webb is under the direction of first-year head coach Alex Simmons, who has already claimed two Big South victories over High Point and Charleston Southern so far this season. The team averages 65.5 points per game with Jhessyka Williams leading the attack with 17.3 points per game. Ki'Ari Cain is having an incredible season with 60 total assists, which is double the next closest player on the team's total and ranks second in the conference.

HOME SWEET HOME
Radford has been on the road for over a month now with their last home game taking place back on December 1st when they took down Furman, 73-61. The road has been tough for the Highlanders, but on the home court the team has found success with a 3-1 winning record. Furman highlight's the trio of victories while the one loss came in a close home-opener against a strong Marshall squad.

MARSHALL'S FIERY RETURN
Destinee Marshall made her return to the team last week at UNC Asheville after missing the previous two games and immediately made an impact. The sophomore dropped a career-high 15 points behind a trio of three-pointers. The game also marked the fourth time Marshall had scored double-digit points in a game this season.

SETTING THE TONE
Radford will look to start strong in the first half as heading into the locker room at halftime with a lead has been a good omen in all four of Radford's wins. When leading at the half the Highlanders are 3-0 but when trailing are 0-7. The Highlanders made progress getting off to a strong start in the first quarter of their last game against UNC Asheville. The team jumped out to a 23-14 lead but struggled in the second quarter and fell behind by halftime.

ICYMI BIG SOUTH SCHEDULE CHANGES
Radford's last two games against Winthrop and High Point were postponed but both have now been rescheduled. Radford will now travel to High Point to play on February 7th at 6 p.m. and will host Winthrop on February 17th at 6 p.m.
