Ramirez Paces Women's Golf At Buccaneer Classic

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Jimenna Ramirez played one of the best tournaments of her career, tying for eighth to lead the Radford women's golf team to a sixth-place finish at the 2022 Buccaneer Classic this week.

Ramirez, posted a strong first-round 79 but easily topped herself with a 74 in the second round and then put the cherry on top with a 75 in the third round. Her +3 on Tuesday was the third-best of any golfer in the field and was nine strokes better than the next closest Highlander.

The Mexico native produced 23 pars over three rounds, the fourth-most in the tournament, to end the trip to Charleston at +12 overall.

Hannah Lindemann was next up on the individual leaderboard, shooting +20 to take 21^st place. She was one of the very best on Par 3's, shooting -2 on those particular holes.

Natalie Welsh grabbed 34^th place after shooting 74-82-87, recording at least one birdie in all three rounds.

Jayde Dudley (+41, T-47^th) and Shea Smith (+42, T-50^th) wrapped up the scoring for the Radford starters. Niki Batac played the course as an individual and tied for 29^th with a strong 79-77-84 (+24) scoreline.

Radford was one of just four teams to record an eagle in the tournament; Lindemann accounted for it by carding a 3 on the Par 5 second hole during her second round of play.
