CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second consecutive week, Radford's
Bryce Corbett has been named the Big South's Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Thursday afternoon.
The sophomore earns the award for the second time in as many weeks thanks to a stellar performance at Appalachian State's Bash at the Beach tournament. He shot 65-73-67—205 (-6) to tie for 3
rd out of 99 golfers on the course in Myrtle Beach.
Corbett's first-round 65 was the lowest score carded of any Highlander this season. He has now placed in the top-5 in two straight tournaments and three times during the 2021-22 season.
This is the first time Radford has had an men's golfer win multiple Big South Player of the Week awards since Myles Creighton did it in 2016-17 and 2017-18.
The Highlanders have some time to rest and regroup before making their way to Wilmington, N.C. for UNCW's Seahawk Invitational. The tournament is scheduled for Sunday, March 27
th and Monday, March 28
th.
