CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Margaret Gleason has earned Second Team All-Conference honors as well as being named to the Big South All-Academic team, the conference announced Friday.

Serving as team captain alongside Kirsten Grzybowski, the junior from Brentwood, Tenn. led the Highlanders on the season with 24 goals and nine assists to go with 38 draw controls. Gleason's 24 goals bests her previous career best of 11 and 38 draw controls comes after entering the season with only one to her credit on her career. Gleason also managed to collect 22 ground balls while earning 19 free position shots and cashing in on eight.

In the classroom, Gleason had a fall term grade point average of 3.68 to go with her 3.73 cumulative GPA with the challenging courseload that comes with being a nursing major.
