RICHMOND, Va. – On the final day of the VCU Shootout, the Radford men's golf team jumped three spots up the leaderboard with all five Highlanders shooting under par to finish eighth out of 14 teams.
 
If you though Nicholas Taliaferro's first-round 68 was impressive, wait until you see his third round. The Richmond native spent his last day in his hometown sinking six birdies with one eagle sandwiched in the middle. He climbed the individual leaderboard by 20 spots thanks to the standout performance, finishing in a tie for 19^th.
 
Bobby Dudeck closed out his consistent run through the Country Club of Virginia Tuckahoe Creek course with a 71 in the third round, bringing his final tally to four-under par. He carded four more birdies on the day to tie for 28^th.
 
It was another solid showing for Nathan Piatt in his first tournament representing the Highlanders as he also shot a 1-under 71 in the third round. He ends the week at 3-under par and tied for 34^th on the individual leaderboard.
 
Patrick Gareiss left no doubt that he's put that first round behind him, recording a second consecutive 68 on Tuesday. The senior avoided making a single bogey all day and sunk four birdies to tie for 38^th at 2-under par.
 
Improving his score yet again, Bryce Corbett shaved two more points off his most recent score to shoot a 71 on Tuesday. He showed his true colors with six birdies on the day, pulling into a tie for 52^nd at 2-over par.
