SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Lancers have met 42 times and first met back in the 1976-77 season. Radford owns the series edge 29-13, but the Lancers have won the last three meetings between these two squads. Before that, Radford had won 12 straight meetings.

The Highlanders met just once during the 2021-22 campaign and so have only played each other once over the last three years after missing each other during the pandemic-afflicted 2020-21 season. In last season's meeting the Lancers were decisive winners but Rachel LaLonde led the way with 12 points and nine rebounds in 29 minutes.

SCOUTING THE LANCERS
Longwood enters Wednesday's game on the heels of an incredible comeback victory over Presbyterian last Saturday. Trailing by 18 with just 6:29 left in the game, the Lancers mounted an improbable comeback with an 18-0 run over the final six minutes to defeat the Blue Hose 70-68. Adriana Shipp-Davis and Janay Turner both had 20-point games in the comeback effort.

The Lancers, who's three Big South victories have all come from within Willet Hall, are looking to string back-to-back wins for the first time this season. Shipp-Davis leads the scoring efforts with 12.8 ppg with Anne-Hamilton LeRoy isn't far behind averaging 12.7 ppg as well. Bailey Williams and LeRoy have combined for over 60 assists and 41 steals this season.

EYEING HISTORY WITH FOUR
Ashlyn Traylor, after winning Big South Freshman of the Week honors earlier this week, is now the second player in Radford women's basketball history to earn four freshmen of the week awards and third freshman to ever win four overall weekly awards in the same season. The last player to earn four freshman awards in one season was Shannan Wilkey all the way back in the 1990-91 campaign. In the 1995-96 season, at the time freshman Kim Hairston also won three freshman weekly awards and one player of the week award.

MILESTONES AND CAREER-HIGHS
Rachel LaLonde has been on a tear during her senior campaign and is eyeing a couple of personal milestones as well as career-highs. LaLonde needs just 37 more rebounds to reach the 500-mark on her career and is also one assist away from 100 in her career. LaLonde is also currently on pace to smash her previous career-bests for points, steals, blocks, assists and rebounds this season.

STEALING WITH THE BEST
The Highlander defense this season has been causing issues for opponents averaging 8.7 steals per game which currently ranks 118th in Division I and third in the Big South. Traylor leads the team with 36 steals this season but Olivia Wagner, LaLonde and Carmen Williams all also have 25 or more steals to their name. Longwood has also done well on the defensive end this season averaging 7.6 steals per game.
