SERIES HISTORY
The Highlanders and Spartans will meet for the 12th time in series history this weekend with Radford owning an 8-3 edge. The Spartans and Highlanders are facing off in a rematch of an earlier contest this season that USC Upstate won 55-49. The Highlanders shot well overall on the night but struggled in their three-point shooting with just four makes in 24 attempts allowing the Spartans to hold on and win. Ashlyn Traylor put up a game-high 18 points and six rebounds in the contest while Vanessa Blake also finished with eight rebounds and four points.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
USC Upstate enters Saturday's game holding a position within the top-four teams in the Big South standings after winning five of their first eight Big South contests. The Spartans are off to a good start under first-year head coach Jason Williams and had started the conference schedule out with three straight wins. Playing on the road has been a different story for USC Upstate who has just a 1-7 record away from Spartanburg, S.C. this season.

While the team averages just 51 ppg, it features three players averaging over eight points a game in Rebekah Gordon, Isabella Geraci and Trinity Johnson. Playing clean ball should help the Highlanders as the Spartans average 24 turnovers a game and have committed 20+ turnovers in their last four games.

NINE REMATCHES AWAIT IN SPRINT TO FINISH
The Highlanders will finally flip their Big South schedule Saturday afternoon with their first rematch of the season against USC Upstate. The Highlanders posted a 4-5 record the first time through their Big South slate that only featured four home games. With nine games remaining, five of which come inside the Dedmon Center, Radford looks to buckle down for the final stretch of the season.

WIN THE BOARDS
The rebound battle will be key in Saturday's match-up as the Highlanders look to recover from a loss earlier this week where the team combined for just four offensive rebounds. With USC Upstate in town, Radford has a chance to get back to where they want to be. When these two teams last met, Radford only allowed USC Upstate to pull down six offensive rebounds. While the Spartans did pull down a whopping 14 offensive rebounds in their last game against Gardner-Webb, before that the visitors combined for just nine against Presbyterian and UNC Asheville.
