EDUCATION DAY!
Wednesday's early tip time is to accommodate the 1,000+ elementary and middle school students from the local community coming to see the Radford women's basketball team compete. Each student will also get to go home with a Radford Women's Basketball designed poster.

SERIES HISTORY
Radford and ETSU will meet for the 22nd time but only for the third time in the last 15 seasons. The Highlanders have won the last three meetings, two of which came inside the Dedmon Center. The Highlanders and Buccaneers last met in the 2019-20 season in Johnson City, Tenn. where Radford used a 24-point fourth quarter to pull away in a big 67-43 win fueled by 14 points from Bryonna McClean.

SCOUTING THE BUCCANEERS
ETSU enters Wednesday's contest as one of the favorites for an auto bid out of the Southern Conference for the 2023-24 season. In two games so far this season ETSU has dropped a close game at Kentucky 66-74 while taking down Lafayette 51-43 this past weekend. Guards Kendall Folley and Courtney Moore have led the scoring efforts so far for the Buccaneers with both over 30 points overall in their first two games.

The Buccaneers play a clean style of ball having turned the ball over just 9.5 times per game this season while forcing 12.5 opponent turnovers per game. While the Buccaneers haven't shot the three-ball particularly well at 25.6% so far this year, they've made up for it with a sturdy overall shooting of 37.3%. Second chance points may play a large factor as ETSU has outscored opponents in that category 23-15.

ASHLYN EARNS FIRST BIG SOUTH AWARD
Sophomore Ashlyn Traylor-Walker picked up right where she left off from last sesaon earning Big South Player of the Week after an incredible first week. The Franklin, Ind. native debuted her sophomore year in dominant fashion totaling 49 points, 17 rebounds, 9 assists, a steal and a block over three games played. Traylor-Walker has now earned nine weekly awards in her career which ranks tied for the most in program history with Da'Naria Erwin-Spencer (2009-13) and Shannan Wilkey (1990-94).

GETTING A GOOD START
Getting off on the right foot will be crucial to the program in Wednesday's meeting. When Radford goes to the locker room with a lead at halftime it's spelled good results for the team who are 14-3 when leading at the break dating back to last season. One of those three losses came in overtime and the other two didn't see the Highlanders surrender the lead until the final minutes of the game.
