SERIES HISTORY
Radford and UNC Greensboro meet for the 21st time Saturday afternoon in a rivalry that's been renewed over the last decade. The Highlanders and Spartans once competed head-to-head for Big South Championships across the 1990's before the series went dormant at the turn of the century. Since 2010, the two squads have faced each other six times with Radford owning a 4-2 edge.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
UNC Greensboro enters Saturday's meeting with two wins on the season already over South Carolina State and Division III Pfeiffer. The Spartans currently have two players averaging over 10 points a game in junior Isys Grady (13.7 ppg) and graduate Ayanna Khalfani (12.7 ppg). Khalis Cain is also returning to the Spartans for her fourth season and is off to a solid start with 23 points, 5 steals and 19 rebounds.

RHOADES CATCHING FIRE
Sophomore Maci Rhoades set new career-highs in Radford's last game against ETSU. In front of a raucous Education Day crowd, Rhoades lit up the Highlanders' second half comeback attempt with four made three-pointers, a career-high. Rhoades 12 points in the meeting was also a career-high eclipsing her previous high of 11 set at Furman last season.

FINAL SOCON BATTLE
Radford has begun its 2023-24 nonconference schedule with three Southern Conference foes in its first five games. Radford went on the road to defeat Western Carolina 67-49 in its first SoCon contest but most recently fell to ETSU on the home floor 49-45. With a win against UNC Greensboro the Highlanders could clinch a winning 2-1 record on the year against the Southern Conference.
