SERIES HISTORY
Radford and Vanderbilt have met twice in the history of the two programs with the last meeting coming in the 2019-20 season. Vanderbilt has won both meetings and just one player (Vanderbilt's graduate guard Jordyn Cambridge) remains on either roster from the last meeting four seasons ago. For Radford, in the 2019-20 meeting standout Khiana Johnson shined for 18 points in the Nashville lights.

SCOUTING THE COMMODORES
The Commodores enter Sunday's meeting on a quick turnaround after playing Fairleigh Dickinson Sunday night earning a dominant 73-41 victory. The previously mentioned Cambridge and forward Sacha Washington lead the scoring effort for the Commodores with both averaging over 14 points a game this season. Clean ball and forcing plenty of turnovers has been a key to Vanderbilt's success over the nonconference schedule as they've forced over 80 more turnovers than committed.

Inside Vanderbilt's impressive 12-1 record to start the season is a miriad of victories over Division I opponents. The Commodores opened the season with seven straight wins over Kennesaw State, UT Martin, Fairfield, Western Kentucky, Alabama State, Iowa State and Northern Iowa. Nationally-ranked inside the top-five N.C. State is the only team to best Vanderbilt so far, as the team enters Sunday's contest on a five-game winning streak with wins over Louisiana Tech, Butler, Lipscomb, Dayton and Fairleigh Dickinson. Sunday's game will be Vanderbilt's final nonconference action of the season.

TOP-50 IN COUNTRY
Almost halfway through the season, sophomore Ashlyn Traylor-Walker stands within the top-50 of multiple stat categories. Traylor-Walker's 191 field goal attempts (26th), 74 free throw attempts (18th), 58 free throws made (25th) and 215 points (49th) are all also tops in the Big South conference. She is also top-100 in field goals with 74 on the season (73rd) and near top-100 in points per game at 16.5 (102nd).

BIG SOUTH PLAY LOOMS
Sunday's New Year's Eve contest with Vanderbilt marks the final nonconference match for the Highlanders this season. After that, Radford will play 16 straight Big South games before it all culminates in the Big South tournament which runs from March 6th through 10th to determine who earns the conference's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The conference tournament is hosted by High Point this season, who Radford opens conference play at next Wednesday.
