SERIES HISTORY
Radford and Virginia Tech meet for the 38th time Sunday afternoon with the Hokies owning a 28-9 edge in the all-time series. The two programs last met in December 2021 where Radford fell 89-40 despite a strong start. Radford last beat Virginia Tech in 2006 with the Hokies winning 18 of the last 20 meetings.

SCOUTING THE HOKIES
The nationally ranked Hokies bounced back with a win earlier this week against LIU 98-50 to remain an unbeaten 4-0 at home. The Hokies average over 80 points a game led by Elizabeth Kitley (22.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game) and Georgia Amoore (17.1 points per game). Cayla King and Matilda Ekh both also average over nine points a game as the Hokies starting five combine to average almost 63 points a game.

The Hokies have already earned wins this season over common opponents with the Highlanders including UNC Greensboro 72-51 and fellow Big South foe High Point 94-55 in their season opener. Close losses against #4 Iowa and at #7 LSU are the only blemishes on their record so far with highlight wins over Kansas 59-58 and Tulane 76-70 at the Cayman Islands Classic.

AMONG TOP-100
Ashlyn Traylor-Walker so far this season has put up a stat line that has her among many top-100 rankings among all Division I players. Her top-100 categories include 137 field goal attempts (28th), 54 shots made (64th), 46 free throw attempts (58th), 34 free throws made (56th) and 147 points (61st). In all those categories Ashlyn also leads the Big South Conference.

LIMITING THE FOULS
The Highlanders have a top-100 mark in Division I in fouls per game this season at averaging just 15.6 per game, also best in the Big South, but have struggled at winning the free throw battle game-by-game. Radford's opponents have taken every opportunity given at the free throw line. Opponents have shot a whopping 77% (100-130) from the line this season while Radford has shot just 64% (93-145). Radford has scored 10 or more points from the charity stripe in six of nine games and when they shoot more free throws than opponents they are 2-3 this season.
