CULLOWHEE, N.C. — In the series finale, the Radford baseball team fell to Western Carolina by a 9-0 final on Sunday afternoon at Hennon Stadium.
The Highlanders (7-13) struggled to find offense for the majority of the day. Freshman left fielder
Austin Stalker went 1-for-3, while catcher
Julian Rojas earned three walks, marking a single-game career high for the senior backstop.
On the mound, Radford got two shutout innings from RHP
Landon Higgerson, as well as two valuable innings from
Bannon Brazell, who came in late to get the last six outs.
Dylan Wheeler was the winning pitcher for Western Carolina (9-11), going six strong and yielding just three hits.
Zack Mallia, in his first career start, took the loss for Radford.
